Norwest Christian College is an independent, co-educational P-12 school located in the growing north-west sector of Sydney. The College is currently seeking to appoint an innovative, enthusiastic and qualified teacher of Mandarin with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Applicants must be able to teach students from Early Stage 1 to Stage 5. This is a part-time role (FTE 0.3) for the start of the 2020 academic year.
The successful applicant will be able to:
- demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of language teaching strategies;
- program for effective teaching and learning;
- demonstrate a strong understanding of 21st century pedagogies;
- differentiate to cater for individual students;
- work alongside staff in a flexible and organised manner.
The successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate at interview a personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ, and a lifestyle consistent with that faith, including an active commitment to a Christian fellowship.
Candidates shortlisted for interview will be expected to provide a Working With Children Check clearance letter.
